Striking Victorian diamond-set crescent moon brooch, with removable fittings and retractable bail for wear as a pendant. The crescent totals around 3 carats of chunky old mine cut diamonds arranged in two graduated rows along its length, modelled in 15 karat gold with silver cut down settings and fine openworked gallery/sides. Craftsmanship: exceptional. Design: exceptional. Symbolism: perfection.
