A stylish vintage 1950's horse brooch, in solid 9k yellow gold. 

The brooch depicts a standing horse, carved to depict naturalistic features. It is secured to reverse with a pin and roller clasp fitting. Due to the size, this brooch would look fantastic on a lapel, coat or jumper - an ideal gift for horse lovers!

For size reference, the horse measures 2.7 x 3.4 centimetres (from the widest points) and weighs 12.4 grams. The brooch is hallmarked A&W (Alabaster and Wilson makers mark), 375 for 9k gold, and the date letter for 1959.
